The preliminary design study has been initiated for Flemings Road and Avalon Road. The Flemings Road expansion will connect to Sawgrass Bay Blvd, giving Western Way direct access to 27 and Wellness Way. The study is reviewing Avalon Road from Water Spring Blvd to just south of New Hartzog Road.
The preliminary design study reviews the potential roadway improvements along with environmental impacts, drainage, multi-use paths, sidewalk, medians, lighting, and intersection improvements. Orange County will be holding one community meeting regarding this project in the future and will mail newsletters to nearby property owners. Orange County has previously states this project is aimed to have construction completed by 2025.
