Residents of Horizon West have long struggled with poor cellphone coverage, making it difficult to make calls or browse the internet on their mobile devices. However, there is good news on the horizon as two big carriers are expanding their infrastructure to provide better coverage in the area.
According to Orange County permits, both Verizon and T-Mobile are adding more cell phone antennas in Horizon West to boost signal strength and improve network connectivity. This move is expected to benefit thousands of residents who have been struggling with poor cellphone coverage for years.

Verizon is adding and upgrading antennas on the existing cell tower along Ficquette Road. T-Mobile will be adding their equipment to the new tower along Schofield Road and have filed a Notice of Commencement with the county, indicating work is imminent. T-Mobile will be the first provider to add equipment to this tower.
