Orange County is hosting a Transportation Open House on Monday, February 28 from 6:30 – 8:00pm for residents to ask questions about the upcoming transportation sales tax initiative. The initiative would increase sales taxes in Orange County to fund transportation projects. While the open house is for questions and not public comment, residents can submit comment via a transportation survey. For official public comment, residents should attend the March 22 Board of County Commissioners meeting.
Attendees to the open house can ask questions to Mayor Jerry Demings and Commissioner Nicole Wilson, along with visit booths on
- Public Transit (LYNX and Sunrail)
- Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety
- Street Lights and Technology
- Roadways and Intersection Improvements
- Sustainability (EV Charging)
For more information on the initiative, visit orangecountyfl.net.
