A popular West Coast pizza chain has been confirmed by Hamlin to join Town Center. The Pizza Press is a build-your-own style pizza restaurant, where customers select each individual ingredient to be added on their custom-made pizza. This concept is similar to creating a sandwich at Subway or a burrito at Moe’s. The restaurant is themed to 1920s Americana newspaper industry and wants customers to “publish” their pizza. Pizza Press will located by Publix, in the building next to Planet Smoothie and French Cafe and is expected to open in the first-half of 2019. The Pizza Press also has a location open in Celebration, if you’re interested in checking it out before the Horizon West location opens.
How Does It Work?
To get started, customers first select their base sauce for their pizza. Sauces include Red Sauce, Spicy Red Sauce, White Sauce, Pink Sauce, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. After the sauce is selected, next is CHEESES! Mozzarella is usually the base cheese, but a variety are available to mix it up, such as Mozzarella, Perlini Mozzarella, Aged Parmesan, Gorgonzola, Hand-Crumbled Feta, Aged Sharp Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, Ricotta, Chevre, and Vegan Cheese.
After the sauce and the cheeses are on the pizza, next are the toppings. Toppings include a large variety of meats and vegetables for the pizza. Meats include Pepperoni, Bourbon Bacon, Grilled Chicken Breast, Sweet Italian Link Sausage, and Smoked Ham. The list of vegetables is so long, we’re not going to even list it, but if you like it on your pizza, Pizza Press probably has it available.
