The Orange County Board of County Commissions met on May 5 to review the development plan for The Mark at Horizon West. The request is to construct 95,568 square feet of retail development and 4,700 square feet of outdoor seating on a total of 21 acres. No waivers were associated with the request. The layout of The Mark along with potential tenants was previously reported by Horizon West Info. The Mark is located in Village F along Siedel Road.
The Development Review Committee recommended approval of the request. Chuck Whittall, the President of Unicorp, briefly spoke about the proposal and concerned to approve with the staff recommendation. A presentation was prepared but not presented due to the length of the Board of Commissioners meeting. No members of the public were present for the public hearing.
The request then passed unanimously by the Orange County Board of Commissioners, approving the way for The Mark to move forward.
