Progress on the stoplights at the Reams, Ficquette, & Summerlake intersection have been delayed, as a nationwide backlog of masts has delayed numerous projects in Orange County. To provide a temporary solution until the temporary (but eventually permanent) stoplights are added, the county is adding stop signs in all directions at this intersection. The stop lights are now scheduled to be in place mid-July.
According to Commissioner VanderLey, who represents District 1 covering Horizon West, “On the May 21st Board of County Commissioners meeting agenda, there is an agenda item for the establishment of temporary multi-way stop signs at the intersection of Reams Road/Ficquette Road and Summerlake Park Blvd.”

Once approved, stop signs will be added to the intersection. Informational signs have already been placed to notify drivers of the upcoming change, since there will likely be no opposition to the stop signs by other county commissioners.
