A comprehensive zoning request has been submitted for two adjacent parcels along Avalon Road, just north of Schofield Road. The request is primarily focused to construct 270 multi-family units (apartments), however, commercial space is planned to front Avalon Road and the request encompasses multiple options for the developer to move forward with.
To rezone 24.37 acres from A-1 to PD (Planned Development District) in order to construct 270 multi-family dwelling units, a 15,000 square foot daycare, 15,000 square feet of retail, 15,000 square feet of medical office, a 4,400 square foot hotel / restaurant, and a 125 room hotel. Four (4) waivers from Orange County Code related pond tract access, buffer requirements, setbacks, and building height are associated with this request.
The request is currently at the beginning stages and will be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Board, before proceeding to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners.
