Garbage collection in Orange County will shift a day this week, with no collection occurring on Thanksgiving, November 23.
If Thursday is your regular trash day, please note that garbage, recycling, yard waste, and large items need to be ready for pickup by 6 a.m. on Friday, November 24.
For those with Friday as their usual collection day, your service will shift to Saturday. Service will resume to the normal schedule next week.
Recycling Reminders:
- Never bag items for recycling, all items in the bin must be loose
- Plastic bags, plastic wrap, foil, and foam must be placed in garbage, and are not recycled in Orange County
- Use the What Goes Where Tool to check if an item can be recycled
To reduce waste generated in your household even more, subscribe to O-Town Compost, a weekly pickup service that collects food scraps and turns them into compost! This service helps reduce the release of methane from food scraps in the landfill.
