We attended the Hamlin Fair on Saturday afternoon to check it out so we could provide some photos to everyone interested. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere. For details on the fair, check out our Hamlin Fair Details post.

Mask Compliance:
The fair has a general mask requirement, but their verbiage isn’t too strict and they have posted masks aren’t required when in your family group while socially distanced from others. During our visit, a lot of guests were wearing masks, but a good number also were not. Workers were generally good about wearing masks when interacting with guests, but there were times we saw when they weren’t as well. Our team has visited several theme parks and are used to those guidelines. We followed the 2 out of 3 rule, and since the event is outside and we always wore masks, always felt comfortable at the fair.

Parking:
The parking experience was easy and well organized. Several workers were out directing cars even though it wasn’t too busy. Barriers are up to clearly mark the rows. Parking is on grass and was a little bumpy. As with any grass parking, if there is heavy rain it could get muddy.

Family Atmosphere & Games
The carnival definitely had a good family friendly atmosphere during our visit. We visited in the early afternoon, so not sure how things are at night, but we’re still planning to return another time most likely this week during the evening. All of the games have a winner every time, which is great to ensure children go home with a prize. Our only recommendation would be not to bring a stroller. Some areas of the grass were bare and sandy, which would make pushing a stroller difficult.

Hamlin Fair Food
We enjoyed several snacks while at the fair and will return to eat dinner one day this week. The prices were very reasonable with good portion sizes. There are not very many tables, and while we noticed a lot of benches, many of them were occupied.

Rides
While we didn’t go on any rides, the unlimited wristbands are definitely the best value if you want to spend all day here or ride something multiple times.

The Hamlin Fair is a fun event that brings an entertaining carnival to Horizon West!
