We received several messages over the past several weeks regarding the status of the Lake Reams Neighborhood in Lakeside Village, as no visible construction or clearing has begun yet. With multiple questions, we took a look at the latest updates on the public permits for the projects.

The neighborhood will add 57 single-family homes and encompasses an extremely large plot of land in Lakeside Village, as shown on our development map below. However, even though the area is large, the majority of the land will remain undeveloped and the actual neighborhood will be relatively small.

Permits indicate the development is continuing to move forward, as the Subdivision Construction Plans, Case # 21-S-027, is under active Review with Orange County. This permit was submitted on April 8, 2021 and has been active since. The most recent activity was signed documents uploaded on September 15, and the application entered Utility plan review on October 13, 2021.
