Horizon West is set to receive several new fire stations in the near future. These stations are part of the county’s efforts to improve emergency response times and ensure the safety of residents in the fast-growing area.
The first station, Station 44, will be located at 14230 Reams Road and the building is under active construction. The station currently operates out of a temporary building at Orlando Health Hospital. The new building is set to open in the summer of 2023.

The second station, Station 48, will eventually be located at Lake Ingram Road/Avalon. While the permanent station is being built, Station 48 will operate out of the temporary station at Orlando Health.
An additional third station, Station 32, is planned at Avalon Road and New Hartzog Road.
The addition of these two new fire stations will not only improve response times but will also provide peace of mind to the residents of Horizon West. Knowing that emergency services are readily available in case of an emergency can make a significant difference in times of crisis.
