The developer of Hamlin has submitted a new master development plan to Orange County for the plot of land directly south of Publix at Hamlin. This master plan includes 3 large retail locations, 2 out-parcel buildings, and a bank location. The request of this plan indicates continuing demand for commercial space in Horizon West as the residential population continues to slowly grow in the area.
A Master Development Plan does not indicate any future tenets or a timeline for when construction will start. The plan seeks County approval for the master plan, in which all future permit requests will be based upon. While there may be rumors on social media about what stores will be built, it is not factual and the future tenets are unknown at this time. Additional permits will be needed in the future for construction to begin on each building, which will provide more insight on retailers.

Master Plan is filed under permit DP-20-05-148.
