The next standalone building at Lakeside Village is nearing completion, as First Watch has officially opened this week. The popular breakfast and lunch restaurant now gives local residents another new alternative, and will surely be busy as Keke’s Restaurant, just next door in the Westside Shoppes, as had lines out the door during popular dining times.
The first Starbucks for Horizon West is also about to open. A sign was recently added indicating “Coming Soon”. Starbucks will feature a drive-thru that wraps around the entire building, similar to the design of the Starbucks at Winter Garden Village. A second Starbucks is also planned for Horizon West in Hamlin. Encore Nail Salon will be opening this fall, and is sandwiched in the middle of the plaza between First Watch and Starbucks.
Also, construction on a different plaza has started close to McDonald’s and Publix. This lot will be a new Regions Bank branch, which unfortunately, won’t excite very many residents.
