Keke’s Breakfast Cafe has temporarily closed its Windermere location at Westside Shoppes. The closure is part of a broader effort to transition the restaurant to a new franchisee. While no specific reopening date has been announced, the company has stated that it is working to finalize the necessary transactions as quickly as possible.
This closure is not unique to Windermere. Several other Keke’s locations across Central Florida have also shut down, either temporarily or permanently. Two Orlando locations—one on Chickasaw Trail and another on Hiawassee Road—were permanently closed following the termination of a franchise agreement due to reported breaches by the previous franchisee, according to ClickOrlando.
In addition to the permanent closures, multiple other locations, including those in Winter Park, Apopka, and Lake Mary, have been temporarily closed as they transition to new ownership. The company has not provided specific reopening timelines for these locations, but the changes reflect an ongoing effort to stabilize operations under new franchise agreements.
Keke’s corporate office has expressed a commitment to reopening the affected locations as soon as possible. The primary goal is to ensure a smooth transition for employees and to minimize disruptions for patrons.
