Horizon West homeowners are facing rising insurance rates as the price of insurance increases across the state. Rates have been rising between 25% – 60% according to NBC Miami, even for homeowners with no claims or storm damage.
The increase in insurance rates, including in the Winter Garden and Windermere areas, is largely driven due to the increase in claims and contractors convincing owners they will receive a free roof through their insurance, according to the News4Jax Investigative Team.
