Development at Hamlin is happening at a rapid pace now, as building shells are obtaining tenants to fill all the available space. We’re starting to see businesses continue to develop and move-in to Hamlin, and the list of Coming Soon businesses continues to grow. While we identify businesses coming to Hamlin before they are announced through Orange County permits, let’s review the official Hamlin Map to see how things are progressing. While we look at available spaces on the map, it’s very common for businesses to acquire multiple spaces within a plaza, so while it may appear there is open space, it may only take 2-3 businesses to fill it depending on their size.
Hamlin currently lists 25 spaces within the Publix-anchored quadrant of the Town Center. Out of these 25 spaces, 8 locations are open, 5 locations are coming soon, leaving 12 still available for lease.
- 32% of space is open
- 52% of space is leased
The Wal-Mart quadrant contains some of the newest shell buildings in the Town Center, but this plaza is rapidly gaining tenants. With a Wendy’s already open and a Starbucks nearing completion, this will be a popular plaza for many. The official map lists 23 spaces, of which 4 are open and another 3 are coming soon. This leaves 16 spaces still available for lease.
- 17% of space is open
- 30% of space is leased
With a large parking garage, the Cinepolis plaza is built for growth. While this plaza has been one of the slowest to see signs of development, things will soon start to pickup as this will be the location of the popular restaurants Ford’s Garage, Capone’s Coal Fired Pizza, and Yeoman’s Cask & Lion. The map lists 43 available spaces, but some of these buildings will be used as office space, so it’s difficult to determine how things will actually play out. Only 1 business is open so far, Cinepolis, but another 7 are coming soon.
- 2% of space is open
- 18% of space is leased
The undeveloped quadrant does not have any construction or announced tenants; however, our site discovered this will be the location of a Chick-Fil-A at Hamlin. Since we’re only looking at the official map of announced businesses for this post, we won’t include it in the statistics. The map lists 8 spaces available in this quadrant.
- 0% of space is open
- 0% of space is leased
