At the request of Orange County, additional exterior renderings and site plans have been provided for the upcoming Don the Beachcomber restaurant at Hamlin. While still in early stages of permitting, the restaurant and tiki bar will be located along Lake Hancock offering scenic views of the water and nightly fireworks.

Originally planned as Tiki Docks, the new restaurant concept is now named after Donn Beach, the founding father of tiki style who opened the world’s first tropical-style bar in the 1930’s. Donn Beach is the focus of a new upcoming documentary, The Donn of Tiki. The film will premier in April during the Florida Film Festival. Additional details on the restaurant brand will be announced at the upcoming Tiki A Go Go conference in April in Orlando.

Renderings submitted to Orange County showcase an open and welcoming environment, highlighting the shoreline of Lake Hancock, furthering the tiki ambiance of Don the Beachcomber.

The below two conceptual renderings include the logo for Seasons 52 on another building along the waterfront. This building is indicated as a future to be determined project and no specific information could be located to support this location. It is common for designers to include possible brands to represent the desired quality and tenant for a location. The presence of Seasons 52 would align with the high quality, best-in-class brands that Hamlin is attracting.

Conceptual site plans included showcase the specific location of Don the Beachcomber, including a Tiki Bar on a dock. Additional new features to this plan include a full boardwalk trail around Lake Hancock, 4 story building next to the theater, outdoor grand staircase along the garage, pocket park along the shoreline.

Don the Beachcomber is operated by 23 Restaurant Services, a renowned restaurant group that specializes in iconic brands, which include Ford’s Garage, Yeoman’s, Tiki Docks, and Arnold Palmer’s Centercup.
