Walt Disney World has quietly opened up their College Program facilities at Flamingo Crossings to all existing Cast Members. In the past, the housing complexes were used exclusively for College Program students and were not available to full-time or part-time Cast Members.
The complex, Flamingo Crossings Village, offers several different options for existing Cast Members depending on their budget and need. Rates are comparable to other nearby apartment complexes for individuals looking to share a lease.
- $869/mo: Shared bedroom with shared bathroom. 4 occupants. 1,009 sq. ft.
- $964/mo: Private bedroom with shared bathroom. 4 occupants. 1,394 sq. ft.
- $1,059/mo: Private bedroom with private bathroom. 4 occupants. 1,477 sq. ft.
- $1,249/mo: Private bedroom with private bathroom. 2 occupants. 1,009 sq. ft.
Additionally, Flamingo Crossings Village includes wireless internet, water, trash, maintenance, electronic key entry, and 24-hour package room. While transportation is provided for students in the College Program, transportation is not provided for Cast Members living at Flamingo Crossings.
Disney also has plans for a proposed Hartzog Road Attainable Housing Community. This housing project would add 1,450 affordable housing units along Hartzog Road. During a September community meeting, Disney failed to provide specific details on the project and faced intense questioning from Horizon West residents regarding site selection, public transportation, school overcrowding, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, and lack of affordability in the area.
Cast Members interested in leasing should email [email protected] or call 689-312-5351.
