In one of the lowest election turnouts in recent years with approximately 16.9% voter turnout county-wide, unofficial election results posted by the Supervisor of Elections show Austin Arthur ahead of incumbent Nicole Wilson by a mere 24 votes at time of publish. Online unofficial results do not show how many votes write-in candidate Stephen Davis received, and an additional 799 mail-in votes county-wide have also not been counted.
To win the election in the Primary with more than two people running, a candidate must receive a majority vote to win outright. With the current vote total, if write-in candidate Stephen Davis received 24 or more votes, Austin Arthur and Nicole Wilson would have a run-off during the General Election. In 2020, write-in candidate Nicole Burns secured 184 votes, 0.43% of the vote.
