CenterWell Senior Primary Care has opened a new Winter Garden location, replacing the former Walmart Health clinic at Hamlin. The move is part of a broader initiative by Humana’s CenterWell brand, which is opening 23 new primary care centers across several states, many taking over sites previously operated by Walmart Health.

Located insight the Walmart Supercenter, the Winter Garden CenterWell facility focuses on providing primary care services for seniors with Medicare Advantage and Original Medicare coverage. Services include preventive care, chronic condition management, diagnostic testing, and personalized wellness planning. The location also offers in-house laboratory services and a dedicated care team to support coordination between specialists and hospitals.

CenterWell’s expansion comes after Walmart announced in April 2024 that it would close all Walmart Health centers nationwide.

For Horizon West and Winter Garden residents, the arrival of CenterWell helps ensure continued access to local primary care options, particularly important given the area’s growing senior population. With rapid residential development and an increasing number of retirees moving to the region, maintaining accessible healthcare infrastructure remains a key community need.

Patients can schedule appointments directly through the CenterWell website or by phone, and new patient enrollment is currently open. The Winter Garden center joins other CenterWell clinics already operating across Central Florida, strengthening the healthcare network available to Horizon West seniors.
