The US Air Force Thunderbirds are in Orlando this weekend for the 2022 Orlando Air & Space Show, taking place on October 29 and 30 at Orlando Sanford Airport.
As part of their visit, the Thunderbirds will be conducting two passes over Magic Kingdom to honor the start of National Veterans and Military Families Month, which starts in November.
The flyovers will occur on Thursday, October 27, scheduled to begin at 9:30am. During prior flyovers at Disney World, the fighters fly over the Horizon West area as part of their maneuvers. The Thunderbirds will culminate their visit with a delta maneuver, where each plane accelerates into different directions.
“They will do two passes beginning at 9:30 a.m. over the park (weather dependent) culminating in their famous delta maneuver where they pass over the castle accelerating rapidly in different directions giving the appearance of a fireworks display,” – Disney
