New aerial photos of Disney’s new solar farm along 429 show the sure scale and size of the project. The solar farm is being built by the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which is the governmental body that operates within Walt Disney World. The electricity provided by the solar panels will ultimately power Disney’s theme parks and hotels. According to the Orlando Sentinel, there are 518,000 solar panels encompassing 270 acres.
