The Board of County Commissioners will be holding a Public Hearing on September 10 for a request to add apartment units along Reams Road. The developers of the Windermere Cay parcel have requested to add more units into Phase 3 for the complex.
The parcel is currently approved for 598 apartment units, of which 308 have been built. The applicant is requesting to add an additional 94 units onto the existing 290 entitled units, bringing the total to a 384 units expansion on top of the existing 308 units.
Apartments at Windermere Cay are priced between $1,700 – $2,000 a month.
The request was approved during the Development Review Committee meeting on July 10, and Orange County Staff recommends the BCC approve the request.
Based on preliminary conceptual drawings, the complex would include a new leasing office and pool, indicating it may be operated separately from Windermere Cay.
Residents unable to attend the upcoming BCC Hearing can provide feedback directly to the Board of County Commissioner’s and the Mayor, who will vote on the matter, by emailing or calling their offices.
