The 4th annual Bears Who Care OktoBEARfest 5K Fun Run & Festival is set to be held on October 24 at the Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital in Hamlin and has a new route. After the 5K and Kid’s 1K, enjoy a morning of fun activities, including games, live entertainment, interactive sponsor booths, raffles, plus major prize giveaways! Bears Who Care is a Horizon West-based charity that strives to provide teddy bears and books to disadvantaged children during times of needs. In 2021 the organization has donated 1,500 teddy bears to Nathaniel’s Hope and 2,500 teddy bears to Orange County Public Schools.
Registration for the in-person event is $35 for the Adult 5K and $20 for the Kids 1K. An official Bears Who Care GUND teddy bear can be added on to the registration for an additional $20. All pre-registered attendees will receive a finisher medal, t-shirt and goody bag. Details on the event and registration is available at https://www.bearswhocare.org/oktobearfest.
We look forward to seeing all the support for this great charity!
